my love for you is ready

I’ve uploaded about 40 new and old pics to flickr, including some amazing finds I just got bought at the local antique mall.  Saw TransAmerica last night, Felicity Huffman was of course great.  It reminded me of one of my favorite movies, The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert (Guy Pierce in drag, can’t beat it!).
Listening to: the Crash soundtrak (it’s being re-released into theatres this weekend, make sure to check it out if you haven’t!) and Emiliana Torrini

listen to the pretty sound of music as she flies...

For some reason I’ve been into out-of-focus photos lately, especially the ones where they catch the light in those cool circles.  Here’s another great one.
Check out this movie of Olive Matt posted.  Those ferrets are so smart - S-M-R-T!

and if i seem to be afraid to live the life that i have made in song, it's just that i've been losing so long

Saw Patrick Brickel perform at the Octagon last night, it was a good show.  His cd cover is the cutest painting by his wife.  Speaking of cute, check out Olive!  I don’t know why she looks so sad, she probably wants to get down and play.

If you’re into photography and have ever done any retouching, check out the before/afters and composite/manipulations at fluideffect.com (in the portfolio).  Amazing.  Plus it just warms the heart to see how bad, I mean real celebrities look before all the airbrushing.

you take two bodies and twirl them into one, their hearts and their bones, and they won't come undone

Back from Vancouver!  We had a great time, thanks in part to the advice of Poppy & Cindy.  We rented bikes and rode around Stanley Park, took the SkyTrain to Chinatown, took the AquaBus to Granville Island, went to Van Dusen Botanical Gardens, and made sure to hit the Regional Assembly of Text on Main St (one of the cutest little shops ever!).  And I took pictures of it all (thanks to the cute flickr elf that uploads my photos while I’m sleeping… or watching Grey’s Anatomy).  We are seriously considering moving to Vancouver someday, we loved it that much (and my expectations were extremely high).  We tried in vain to find a mean person (there were the guys dropping f-bombs at the homeless kid, but since his sign said "Will take verbal abuse for money" I don’t think that counts).  Can’t wait to go back when it’s warmer and visit Victoria and Whistler Mountain.

leave the ways that are making you love what you really don't want to love

This is a Valentine’s garland I made to sell at the Octagon Shop.  The hearts have a little black flower taped to vintage paper on one side, and black glitter on the other.  Very un-cheesy and antique-ish.

if irony was made out of strawberries, we'd all be drinking a lot of smoothies right now.

Here’s Matt and I according to South Park Studio version 2.  Now go, and create your own big-headed short people.

don't touch that squirrel's nuts!

The cutest birds have been all over our little feeder today, so I went
to take a picture and this is what I found.
